Welcome to the Indiana County Republican Party!

Welcome to the Indiana County Republican Committee Website.

Our committee is composed of the 138 Committee Members elected by Republican party members in the various voting precincts across Indiana County, and Republican elected officials from local, State and Federal Government. Together, we form the core of the Republican party efforts in Indiana County. By engaging in grass roots organizing and activities, we work together to move forward our common, conservative agenda here in Indiana County, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the United States of America.

When I say “our common conservative agenda,” I mean the general principles that guide our committee. Specifically, we believe:

  • Free enterprise and personal initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity;
  • Our Nation needs to protect the dignity of every individual and guarantee the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness;
  • In a limited government that practices fiscal responsibility and works to lower taxes so individuals can keep more of their hard earned money;
  • In a strong national defense to ensure that Americans remain safe, terrorists are defeated, and democracy flourishes throughout the world; and
  • The Republican Party is the best vehicle for converting these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.

In the most basic sense, our mission is to recruit and help elected candidates that will govern our county, Commonwealth and Nation in a manner consistent with these principles.

On this website you will find information about our committee, including its officers, upcoming party events, links to the websites of the larger Republican party and our local, State and Federal elected officials and candidates, and opportunities to join us in helping to move forward our common, conservative agenda. Whether you are simply looking for information about the local Republican party, or an opportunity to get involved, you have come to the right place. So take a look around, gather information and please contact us about how you can help make a positive change to our county, Commonwealth and Nation.

    We will be constantly tweaking the Forum process to provide a successful program. Realizing an hour may not provide adequate time for our team to review questions and provide a rounded base, if you are interested in submitting a question or topic to be addressed to the candidates, please feel free to do so directly by email to Randy Degenkolb (rcdegenkolb@gmail.com) or via USPS at 315 Sebring Road, Marion Center 15759 as soon as possible. The deadline via email or delivered at his home is April 24th.

    Randy, who lives in the 66th District and unable to vote for any candidates, will be the “keeper of the questions” until the night of the forum when he will pass to the review team.

    You may still bring your completed question/topic to the Forum but it must be submitted no later than 5:30 p.m. to allow adequate time for the review team to evaluate.

    Please share this information with your friends who do not have email or internet as most of the information regarding the event will be through social media.

    INDIANA COUNTY REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE

    County Auditor Vacancy

    The Indiana County Republican Committee is seeking to nominate an individual to fill the remainder of former County Auditor Kimberly McCullough’s term of office. That term of office runs from present to and including December 31, 2019.

    All interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume via regular mail to the Indiana County Republican Committee, c/o Chairman Jesse D. Daniel, 138 South Seventh Street, Indiana, Pennsylvania 15701, or via email to jddaniel1@yahoo.com. The Committee must receive all submissions no later than January 26, 2018. The Committee will hold a meeting at 6 pm on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at its headquarters located at 35 North 8th Street, Indiana Borough, at which time candidates will be given an opportunity to address, and answer questions from, the Committee. Individuals with questions regarding this matter should contact Jesse Daniel at 724-801-8629.

    Pennsylvania law requires that any individual who would fill the vacancy must have “voted for the auditor whose place is to be filled.” 16 P.S. § 701(b). The Committee interprets this to mean that any nominee must have voted for McCullough in the 2015 election for auditor. Any nominee would have to swear and affirm under oath that he or she complies with this requirement.
